What is the Azuki font?

Azuki was first drawn with a Sumi brush to simulate chinese calligraphy. A lot of work went into creating not just a casual and loose brush drawn font but also one that was balanced and worked well in any letter combination. I was really intrigued by how the hairs would split on the sumi brush and I made sure to include that on every letter. The OpenType version (packaged free with the TT/PS Mac or Win versions) has many contextual alternates that creates variation when two identical letters are typed together or you can choose the alternates manually. More… This is a really fun font and I had a ton of fun making it, enjoy!
