What is the Corona® font?

In 1941, Chauncey H. Griffith supervised the redrawing of Corona to improve its utility as a newspaper typeface; one of the five typefaces in Griffith’s Legibility Group, Corona was designed to meet the rigorous requirements of high-speed printing. Corona is still the chosen type of many American daily newspapers. Its narrow widths and large x-height make it a typeface that meets the requirements of demanding jobs such as datasheets and newsletters.
