What is the Romic™ font?

Designed by Colin Brignall in 1979 for Letraset, Romic is based on pen-formed letters and was created to offer a new approach to serif design that would allow for close spacing of text. Brignall’s creative flair is visible in his unusual treatment of several alphabet qualities, notably the joining elements on the dots above i and j, the bottom left and top right serifs, and the righthand sides of the capitals B, C, E, K and R, which were designed to fit closely with vertical capitals.
