Spumoni is Garret Boge’s revival of Free Roman, designed by Ross George, and shown in the 1952 edition of the Speedball Text Book. It is reminiscent of a number of poster lettering designs of the 1940s, all loosely based on the popular Bodoni faces (see also ITC Oswald by David Farey, and Jim Parkinson’s Jimbo).
